P.2/3 Young Enterprise Workshop Part 2
This morning, P.2/3 participated in Part 2 of their workshop with Sandra from Young Enterprise Northern Ireland. This week the focus was on group-work and decision making. The class had to decide on a new shop to open in their local community. Firstly, they jotted their individual ideas for the shop, next they shared their ideas with their group and narrowed it down to one decision per group. Sandra focused on needs and wants with the class, positives and negatives, to narrow it down to one decision from the whole class. The pupils voted anonymous on a voting slip, their votes were counted and the winner, with 10 votes, was a new sports shop in the community! Pupils were also given the name of one occupation in the community and investigated their roles, how they get paid and even how tax works! Thanks to Sandra and Young Enterprise for delivering this programme to P.2/3, enabling the pupils to explore their local community and providing stickers and certificates!
