This week our P1 children did some experiments to see what happens to water if it is put into oil. We felt like real scientists as we used pipettes to gradually add drops of coloured water to the oil. We watched the water sinking to the bottom of our beakers and the oil floating on the top. After break we made a pretend river and looked at the rubbish that people throw into the water. We found out that rubbish is very harmful to the animals that live in the water. We will try hard to make sure we put our rubbish into the bin.
