Environmental Youth Speak
Despite the Environment Youth Speak being postponed, our candidates delivered their excellent speeches to P3, P6 and P7. Lucy and Aoibheann delivered important information to the pupils on the 5 R’s, using the correct bins and the damage we are doing to the earth. They were able to quote researched facts, such as the fact that 1kg of newspapers can be recycled into 220 pencils! Also, it was quoted that 62% of rubbish sent to landfill could be recycled, according to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. The girls gave the pupils ideas on how they can help, including the importance of refilling water bottles and being aware of sorting our rubbish using the blue, black and brown bins. Engaging and informative speeches and quizzes girls, you will represent our schools eco vision very well!
