On Tuesday 16th November Pablo Cordoba Huertos from Disability NI came to St Ronan’s PS for a PE training session with the children in P1-P4 and after school with the staff. He made the children aware of how to use a wheelchair during PE lessons, how to turn a wheelchair, how to reverse and how to stop. Despite the wet morning, the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and Emily enjoyed joining in with her friends as they tried to master the skills she is already proficient in. From 3.30pm-5.30pm Pablo introduced the staff to skills and games which can be used throughout the school. Both children and staff found this training day to be informative, highly inclusive and lots of fun.
