Today children faced an interesting technological challenge. They were required to construct a bridge using only five sheets of A4 paper and some masking tape. We looked at different types and a number of famous bridges for inspiration. We then tested the strength of each bridge by placing the bridge between two abutments (a tier of dictionaries) and placed pennies on top. Children made predictions and then tested the strength of their constructions! There were many varied results and one strong winning team but all enjoyed today's experience.
